Rob Vincent

My name is Rob Vincent.    My wife, Molly, daughter, Allison, and son, Andrew, and I live on an acreage near Polk City, IA.  We began raising meat goats in 2007 as 4-H projects for Allison.  Since that time, our herd has grown enabling us to market breeding stock and show wethers as well as continue showing.

Besides showing, my family really enjoys eating goat.  Each year our show wethers end up in our freezer for our own consumption.  Now, as an IMGA board member, I look forward to working with fellow IMGA members to raise awareness of meat goats in Iowa as a terrific project for kids and as a wonderful red meat for consuming.

Besides raising goats, I enjoy golfing and hunting.  I am a member of the Polk County Fair Board and act as the co-Meat Goat Department superintendant.  I am employed by Pioneer Hi-Bred in Johnston, IA in field sales.   As part of my position, I have the pleasure of representing Pioneer on the Iowa 4-H Foundation.

Thank you for the opportunity to represent Iowa meat goat producers as a member of the IMGA board.  Please feel free to contact me with any ideas on how we can improve the meat goat industry in Iowa.
